Etsy has a rep for amazing hand-crafted goods. But this DIY retailer also features high-end luxe items that can’t be found anywhere else.

“One of my favorite tactics for surfacing great luxury items and shops on Etsy is to think in terms of type of item or material I'm interested in,” says Mary Andrews, one of Etsy's Merchandising Specialists. “Search for materials like leather, gold, cashmere or silk, then sort the results by price from high to low.”

Similarly, try searching for specific items or categories of items—for example, bags, bedding, or necklaces—then sorting the results from high to low.
